As part of a deal to build a new 300,000 square feet warehouse and distribution facility in Plainfield, Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics guarantees to create more than 80 jobs.
The 160 year old company makes a variety of products that includes wind turbines to make electricity and medical test strips that diabetics use to check their blood sugar.
Last week The Star reported that Siemens plans to bridge their distribution centers nationwide all into the yet to be built Plainfield facility. Presently the building’s shell is already up and construction plans are in the works.
Siemens plans to hire warehouse associates maintenance staff, and office associate prior to the opening of the new facility.
